The movie takes place when the son is an adult, and he goes to see his father, who lives now all alone in the forest he and his family used to live in way before this short movie took place. It's about the broken relationship of a father and a son who couldn't meet the former's expectations, and who are hardly anymore on speaking terms. How can you not find it sad? : /

Feb 25, 2010 - I see where your coming from but I feel those Father son relationships are so close to being the "norm" or so common at least. That it doesnt faze me. Granted its an unfortunate situation but he seems to be old enough and turned out ok from what I saw.

Aug 27, 2010 - An amazingly inspired film, a great addition to my collection of short films. A beautiful piece of art. Not to take anything away from Cartoon Saloon or their work, but am I the only person who's shocked that such beautiful cartoons, possibly the best active animation studio of my time, are the same people who made that awful Skunk Fu kids show? It's like finding out Pablo Picasso also made Teletubbies. Anyhow, a wonderful short that I will be digesting for many years to come.
